SDI mało pali, jest bardzo żywotny jednak mało dynamiczny, a odmiana TDI również mało pali, jednak osiągi są zupełnie inne. Wracając jednak do tego porównania Golfa z Leonem wydaje mi się, że tu bardziej można zwrócić uwagę na sam wygląd, niż na trwałość i niezawodność gdyż obydwa posiadają identyczne silniki, te same podzespoły (Leon powstał na płycie Golfa) a także ich ceny kształtują się na podobnym poziomie, z tymże VW jest znacznie więcej. Ja również mam podobny problem i zamierzam kupić właśnie Leona. Jest ich mniej, wyglądają bardziej dynamicznie i sportowo, zarówno na zewnątrz jak i wewnątrz, a przy tym pod względem trwałości i dostępności części to klon Golfa tak więc nie ma się czym martwić. Marka jest, wykończenie też trochę lepsze niż w Golfie, aczkolwiek moim zdaniem to już jest kwestia wypaczenia i sugestii znaczkiem. Jeżeli ktoś jeździ E39 to trudno mu polecać Astrę II, Ibizę, czy nawet Golfa. Tak to jest jak się człowiek chce przesiadać z wyższej klasy w niższą. Będziesz się czuł jak w za małym podkoszulku.
